Nils Hay commenced as CEO of the Mid West Development Commission in July 2022, following over eight years in local government senior executive roles in both the Mid West and his native state of Queensland. Prior to entering the public service, he held a range of private sector positions across the construction, manufacturing and property sectors in both Australia and Japan. Having grown up spending most of his working life in regional and remote Australia, Nils is passionate about regional development and excited about the significant potential for growth and transformation that exists in WA’s Mid West.
