The Commission was pleased to attend the celebration completing the sealing the Carnarvon – Mullewa Road from Murchison Settlement to its southern boundary; a huge achievement for a small local shire.

The Murchison Shire has worked hard over the past decade to bitumen seal over 130km of road, including 35km in just the previous three years.

The Commission is proud to be a supporting partner in funding previous sections of the road, namely the replacement of the Ballinyoo Bridge.

This work enhances access to the Square Kilometre Array and Murchison Radio Observatory site and assist the pastoral and tourist sectors in the Murchison and adjoining regions.
