Commission staff and Board caught up with Shire of Yalgoo CEO Ian Holland and Councillors this week as part of our regional visits schedule.

Our regional trips are an important opportunity to engage with our Local Government partners and we thank the Shire for hosting our team and facilitating briefings on local projects, key challenges and tourism opportunities. Thanks also to Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions for hosting us at Thundelarra Station.

The Commission is committed to understanding the cumulative socio-economic impacts of major projects in the Murchison, to inform planning for social infrastructure, in particular workforce, health and housing requirements, and we thank 29Metals for their tour of Golden Grove mine, which has been producing zinc, copper and precious metal concentrates for over thirty years.
