As part of our focus on enabling opportunities for investment attraction, the Commission was delighted to host a delegation from GFG Alliance last week, including its Executive Chairman, Sanjeev Gupta.

GFG Alliance is a collection of global businesses and investments owned by Sanjeev and his family, predominantly in the steel, mining, energy and aluminium sectors.

Sanjeev is focussed on strategies for low-carbon steel production which aim to optimise and combine the use of steel recycling, renewable energy and breakthrough technologies such as hydrogen, to produce green iron and steel.

Thanks to our partners Mid West Ports Authority for assisting to facilitate an overview of the Mid West region, its current and future major projects and port expansion plans and the City of Greater Geraldton for highlighting our region’s fantastic liveability.

The Commission is proud to provide a base from which local project proponents, industry and regional stakeholders can connect with other State Government agencies and potential investment partners and through connection, collaboration and facilitation, the Commission gives those looking to invest in the region access to boundless opportunities!
