Earlier this year, Fenix Resources Limited and Newhaul launched the Kickstart Training Academy in Geraldton, with support from the Government of Western Australia.
Through the Regional Economic Development Grants program, $250,000 was invested in a world-leading truck driving simulator, helping to deliver modernised driver training and respond to the changing skills needs of the mining industry.
This week, Fenix Resources have offered an insight into this incredible piece of technology and the way the simulator is helping learner drivers to train in multi-combination road trains.

The Academy recognises mining’s critical role as a creator of job opportunities in the Mid West, including for Aboriginal people, and is working to provide long-term training and job opportunities for local Aboriginal trainees looking for a career on or close to their country.
